Great Sierra River Cleanup
Saturday, September 19th, 8:00 am to Noon

Cleanup meets at the Confluence beginning at 8:00 am. (Note: we start cleanup 1 hour earlier than it mentions on the poster.) Bring water, sunscreen and wear sturdy shoes. Volunteers will receive complimentary new Auburn SRA trails map (1 per family). Volunteers can also check in at Hills Flat Lumber in Colfax. No park fee charged in cleanup areas during cleanup.


Sponsors include Sierra Nevada Conservancy, Auburn SRA, Recology Auburn, Protect American River Canyons and Canyon Keepers.

Free Basic Paddle Safety AND Junior Ranger Day
Sunday, September 20th, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm 
at Upper Lake Clementine

Try out a variety of boats suitable for river and lake paddling on a first-come first-serve basis. For participants 10 years and older. Boats are provided by Sierra Outdoor Center and Canyon Raft Rentals. Junior Ranger nature activities are planned.

A $10 per car ASRA park entrance fee is charged. NO dogs or alcohol.

Directions: From I-80, take the Foresthill exit in Auburn, drive 6 miles to the Upper Lake Clementine entrance to the Auburn State Recreatin Area on the left.
