Great Sierra American River Cleanup 2019

and Confluence Historic Bridges Hike at 9 AM

ASRA & PARC, partnering with the Sierra Nevada Conservancy to Keep Our Sierra Rivers Clean & Safe!
Free Parking at the Confluence
Saturday, September 21, 2019 8AM – Noon

Meet at the Old Auburn-Foresthill Curved Bridge near the Confluence
   (3 miles below Auburn near the Highway 49 River Crossing)
Upper North Fork Volunteers meet at Colfax-Iowa Hill Bridge


Check in at the Protect American River Canyons information booth to register and receive your free Confluence Map, (first 25 volunteers, 1 per family), trash collection bags, water and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves and a water bottle.
Free parking for volunteers.

The cleanup is a river wide cleanup that focuses on the Auburn State Recreation Area.

Try out a variety of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards suitable for rivers and lakes. River and lake paddling boats provided by Sierra Outdoor Center & Protect American River Canyons.

Hands on Junior Ranger Activities focus on American River Ecology!

Directions: From I-80, take the Foresthill exit in Auburn. Drive 6 miles to the Upper Lake Clementine entrance to the Auburn State Recreation Area on the left.
The  event is free. There is a $10 per car Auburn SRA parking fee.
NO dogs or alcohol.
