The Confluence Winter 2004

Watercolor Painting on the American River with Juan Peña
Saturday, April 3 9:30am-3:30pm

Artist Juan Pena invites you to join him at the American River on April 3rd for his watercolor workshop.
Local watercolor artist Juan Peña will offer instruction in creating watercolor paintings of the river and canyons. Painting offers the opportunity to "see" and "distinguish" the complex mosaic of plants, animals, geology and light that form the nucleus of the American River eco-system. The lighting and subject possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Juan will offer instruction in various techniques to help you transfer your ideas to the watercolor paper. Juan is an accomplished artist who works and teaches from his studio, KASHAJUAN, in Auburn. We will paint in the "No Hands" Bridge area of the American River. Participants may want to bring a light, easy to carry folding stool. Bring a lunch and plenty of water. Bring your own supplies or we can provide them. Cost is $10 per session using your supplies or $20 per session using ours. Families of three or more will receive a discount. To register contact Juan at his studio, 530-887-0312.
