The Confluence Winter 2002

PARC's Youth Adventures Program

Sierra Nevada Alliance's Futures Fund awarded PARC a "seed" money grant to provide area youth safe river recreational opportunities, basic river interpretive skills and river art opportunities. In exchange youth participants will donate river community service time. Past projects have included the Codfish Creek Falls interpretive trail, clean-ups, trails maintenance, environmental theme art work displayed at the Confluence Festival and Kim Brown's Placer High School students photo quilt.

Youth with a solid river ethic and strong recreational skills will positively shape the future of the American River Watershed. The program is open to youth between the 6th and 12th grades. If you are interested in participating email Eric Peach at parc@jps.net.
Many Thanks to SNA!
