Free Nature Guide Training
Available
Volunteers with a little extra time who want to experience
the fun and excitement of working with Auburn's Alta Vista
Elementary School children in the outdoors are needed now.
Linda Desai, Education Director at the Placer Nature Center,
and Alta Vista parent Denise Obray developed an activity-based
nature education program for K through 6th grade students
to improve the students' natural science literacy and knowledge
of foothills ecology. Volunteers who are interested in learning
or improving their skills while working as a nature guide
with children can sign up for the free training scheduled
for October 25 from 9:00 am -12:00 noon at Alta Vista School.
