PARC's annual river festival features family-friendly nature, art, and canyon recreational activities, a rock climbing wall, over 40 information booths and vendors, and delicious food in a shaded river village atmosphere.

»New for 2010! On Saturday, June 12:

Rafting Trips:
Confluence Parkway Interpretive Rafting Trips from the Confluence to China Bar are planned for Saturday, June 12. Canyon interpretive specialists will be on each trip to provide information and answer questions on the rich river-canyon ecology and gold rush history of the river. Rafting trips will meet and leave from the Overlook Park at 10 am and 2 pm. Participants must have a reservation. The cost is $35 for adults, children 18 and under are $25. Minimum age is 10. Saturday Evening at the American River Overlook Park,
Pacific Avenue, Auburn:

Benefit Silent Auction:
The American River Silent Auction opens on Saturday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm. This year we will be featuring an AIRE inflatable kayak, backpacks, recreational gear, fine art work and dozens of other items and services. Bidding for some items continues into Sunday.

Plus, Beer and Wine Tasting on Saturday evening featuring Sierra Nevada beers and fine wines from our local wineries will be available for tasting for a small donation. Enjoy Cabaret swing/jazz music and American River films also. Light cuisine will also be available for sale. The silent auction bidding concludes on Sunday afternoon.

PARC is raising funds for our river education programs, river clean-ups, and new seasonal information panels for the Auburn State Recreation Area.

Sunday's Entertainment:
Features two-time Grammy Award Winner
Mary Youngblood, First Lady of the Flute.
Mary will perform on the cedar flute.

The American River Stage features continuous music and entertainment including "Mary Youngblood, First Lady of the Flute"
Haute Trash Recycled Fashions Izzy Tooinsky, Juggler & Storyteller Wild Things Canyon Animals presentation The Tepid Club of Cool Swing Jazz Band Loping Wolf Cedar Flute Ensemble Thunderfoot Cloggers Al Ama Gypsy Belly Dancers and much more.
